Mike Wilson is the editor of The Dallas Morning News, responsible for news coverage in print and online. He came to Dallas in February 2015 from ESPN, where he was the founding managing editor of Nate Silver’s data journalism website, FiveThirtyEight. Mike started his journalism career at the Miami Herald, where he worked for 12 years as a writer and editor. He then moved to the St. Petersburg Times (now Tampa Bay Times), where he served for 18 years, the last several as managing editor, before leaving for ESPN in New York. Mike is a 1983 graduate of Tufts University. He has written two books, Right on the Edge of Crazy (1993), about the U.S. downhill ski team, and The Difference Between God and Larry Ellison (1997), about the billionaire founder of Oracle Corporation. He and his wife live in Dallas and have three children in college.
